A female voice in a man's world.

"I didn't set out to become one of the most recognized female voices in the American whisky world. I just loved whisky — and refused to be the only woman in the room."

It started, as most love stories do, accidentally. A dram of Lagavulin in a smoky New York bar. A bartender who took the time to explain it. A door I didn't know was closed quietly opening.

What I noticed next was who wasn't in the room. Women — sophisticated, curious, more than willing to spend — were being talked past, talked down to, or sold pink "ladies' " bottles that no one asked for. So I started a club. Just a handful of women, a few good bottles, real conversation.

Redhead Whisky Club grew to over 7,000 members across New Jersey and New York, with three active chapters and an international audience. We earned recognition from distilleries that had spent decades ignoring our half of the market.

Along the way I sat the exams, did the work, and became a Certified Scotch & Bourbon Professional with The Council of Whiskey Masters — because credibility, in this category especially, is a quiet kind of power.

Philosophy

What whisky taught me about marketing.

Patience. A great whisky takes eighteen years. A great brand takes about the same. The shortcuts are visible in the bottle, and in the business.

Authenticity. You can't fake provenance. The audience can taste it. The same is true of every brand promise made in a meeting and broken in a packaging line.

The connoisseur audience. The people who care most are the ones who buy most, talk most, and build the rest of the market for you. Find them. Respect them. Build the brand around them — not the other way around.
